Hospital Sitter & Patient Attendant in Nairobi & Kiambu
A caring companion at your loved one's bedside in hospital — help with meals and comfort, company, and updates to family who can't be there.
When a parent is admitted to hospital, someone from the family is often expected to be there — to help with meals, keep them company, and talk to the ward staff. That's hard when you work, live far away, or have children to look after.
What a hospital sitter does
I stay at your loved one's bedside for agreed hours, day or night, where the hospital allows. I help with meals and drinks, toileting and freshening up as permitted by ward staff, keep them company and reassured, help them walk when the team says it is safe, and call the nurse when something is needed.
Keeping the family informed
I'll send updates on how they're doing, what the doctors said on the ward round (as shared with the family), and anything the family needs to bring or decide.
Working within hospital rules
Every hospital has its own policies about visitors and companions. I follow the ward's rules and the nurses' instructions — clinical care is always the hospital team's responsibility.
Coming home
When discharge is planned, I can continue with after-hospital support at home, so your loved one has a familiar face through the transition.
