About
Hi, I'm Sarah Adhiambo
I'm a home caregiver serving families across Nairobi & Kiambu. I help older adults and family members recovering after a hospital stay with the everyday things that make life comfortable: personal care, moving around safely, meals, medication reminders and — just as important — company and conversation.
I believe good care is more than finishing tasks. It means listening, being patient, respecting someone's routines and privacy, and helping them keep as much independence as possible.
Training
Completed a Nursing Assistant training course at Avenue Hospital, where I learned personal care, safe moving and handling, infection prevention, feeding support, observation and reporting, and how to respond in an emergency.
To be completely clear: I am a caregiver, not a registered nurse. I don't do clinical procedures such as injections, drips or wound dressing. If your loved one needs those, I'm happy to work alongside their nurse or doctor. Here's exactly what I do and don't do.
How I work with families
- A short conversation first, then a one-page written agreement covering duties, hours, rate and emergency contacts.
- Updates after every visit by WhatsApp or a call — especially for family living abroad.
- I never handle a client's money or valuables without a receipt.
- Personal and health information stays private. See the privacy notice.
