Hospital visits in Nairobi can mean long queues, traffic and a lot of waiting — tiring for anyone, and stressful for an older person going alone.
How I help
I help your loved one get ready, travel with them by taxi or the family's car, help with mobility at the hospital, and keep them company in the queue. During the appointment I can take notes (with their permission) so nothing the doctor says is forgotten, and help collect prescriptions from the pharmacy.
Clear updates for the family
Afterwards, I send the family a short summary: what the doctor said, any new prescriptions, the next appointment date and any instructions. For families abroad, this is often the most valued part — you hear what happened the same day.
Regular appointments
I can accompany clients to routine clinics — diabetes, blood pressure, eye or dental check-ups, physiotherapy — as well as one-off specialist visits.
